Playing With Time
Playing With Time is an exciting, new project that looks at how the world around you is changing over many different time periods. The project consists of two major parts: this web site and a traveling museum exhibit. The site is being developed by Red Hill Studios. The exhibit is a collaboration between Red Hill and the Science Museum of Minnesota.

Strange Matter
This site explores materials science, "the study of stuff". "Meet a material (MR fluid) that can help keep buildings safer during earthquakes, and learn how hollow carbon molecules ("Buckyballs") may someday deliver drugs directly to sick cells in your body. You'll also find resources for teachers and activities for families to try at home. Developed by the Ontario Science Centre in conjunction with the Materials Research Society and the National Science Foundation.

Chip Technology

The nerve center for a computer or pervasive computing device is its integrated circuit — "chip" for short. Chips perform requested calculations, manage the internal flow of data and handle the data inputs from, and outputs to, the user.

For years, the chip industry has marched in lock step to Moore's Law, the projection that the number of transistors on integrated circuits would double every 18 months or so. This remarkable rate of advancement has resulted in smaller feature sizes; improved manufacturing techniques, which allow making larger chips and wafers; and more efficient circuit designs and materials, which allow better circuit performance. We conduct industry-leading research in each of these areas.
